What is PBT material ?

It has high heat resistance, toughness, fatigue resistance, self lubrication and low friction. It is resistant to hot water, alkali, acid and oil. PBT is one of the most tenacious engineering thermoplastic materials. It is a semi crystalline material with excellent chemical stability, mechanical strength, electrical insulation characteristics and thermal stability. These materials have good stability in a wide range of environmental conditions.

The wear-resistance of PBT material keycap is quite good, and its high wear-resistance even reflects the feature of no oiling for a long time on the keyboard, which is also loved by many senior players. With such strong hardness, it will be slightly harder in the hand feel, but when it infects the pattern, the color will have a high degree of restoration and will not fade easily.

What is DYE Sublimation process ?

Thermal sublimation is a kind of process. Simply speaking, special ink patterns/characters (all colors and types) are sublimated into the key cap through high temperature. This fusion is no longer a silk screen printing or ink printing that floats on the surface. Therefore, the characters have strong wear resistance and do not lose the two-color molding key cap.

Immersion printing, also known as thermal sublimation technology, integrates solid resin ink into the surface of the key cap to form characters through thermal sublimation. The characters have high gloss, three-dimensional sense and high firmness.

With the high temperature resistance of PBT material, all kinds of colors can be printed on the PBT key cap (light color is preferred), just like painting, which can achieve a strong personalized style.
